I am proud to share Friends with Food’s very first volunteer of the month with you!  

Scott has been an important part of our mission and shows up every day with a smile on his face. He is a permanent fixture at our meat and frozen food table! He shows up early to help unload trucks and stock shelves and is always just a phone call away when we need something assembled.  

We are so lucky to call Scott our friend.   

How long have you been a volunteer at Friends with Food? 

I started back when we just had a small set up in a church parking lot.  

Now it has been 2 years! 

Why did you choose to volunteer at Friends with Food? 

I have the availability and it is a worthwhile cause. 

The pantry needs volunteers, and I am willing to be here and help. 

What is your favorite thing about volunteering at Friends with Food? 

Putting smiles on people’s faces! 

I can tell when it is someone’s first time coming to the pantry and I make sure they feel welcome. 

I know how to make our guests look forward to coming back!
